Link to external document files or embed them in the database for complete version control in a workgroup environment.

Document management provides an ideal way to maintain forms, plans, policies, procedures, checklists, boilerplates, templates related to compliance activities. The version control system provides check-in, check-out, and revision history controls to access documents.

Compliance Navigator Database

Compliance Navigator supports the following databases:

Microsoft Access
Microsoft SQL Server
Oracle

Use Compliance Navigator as a stand-alone desktop application, or client-server database, or both. There is virtually no limit to the number of Compliance Navigator databases that you can use of either type. For example, you may choose to keep company wide information in a client-server database using MS SQL Server, but keep personal information in a Microsoft Access database on your local computer. There are no extra fees for additional databases, or for client-server/enterprise databases.

For each database you use, you will add users who can log in to the database, and you will set permission settings for what each user can view or edit.

		Compliance Model -- Compliance Navigator is designed for flexibility. It is built around a compliance model that can be customized by compliance experts or consultants to reflect a knowledge base specific to your needs. Users can easily collaborate on the building of models by simply exchanging them via email or CD. The model is where the management and organizational structures, facilities, points of compliance and their associated requirements are built and managed for all to share. The model becomes a dynamic and everlasting blueprint of compliance for the organization. The model is built in a hierarchical structure using drag-and-drop and cut/copy/paste/import functionality for unlimited flexibility. Users can build models based on management and organizational structures, process structure, facility structure, resource structure, or any other foundation. There is no limit to the types of compliance models that can be built using Compliance Navigator.
		Printing the Model -- Print any portion of the model hierarchy to visual compliance requirements. The model can also be exported to tab-delimited text for import into applications such as Microsoft Excel.
		Calendar View -- Use the calendar view to simply viewing tasks by date. All tasks views contain filtering capabilities to limit the the tasks that are displayed.
		Resources View -- View tasks by assigned resources. Resources are individuals, job titles (filled or unfilled), or work groups that are responsible from compliance activities. Any number of users can be assigned to a single resource (workgroup mode) and any number of resources can be assigned to a single user (multi-role user mode).
		Issue Tracker with Corrective Actions -- Robust issue tracking is also available. Issues are problems that must be addressed to achieve compliance. Corrective actions are actions required to address the issue. Multiple corrective actions can be assigned to each issue. Corrective actions associated with task management or auditing can be monitored via Issue Tracker.
		Audits and Findings -- Users can conduct audits against requirements in the model. Full audit capabilities are available. Findings and recommendations can be recorded and tracked in the system. Audit reports can be generated by the system.
